Lane´s Prince Albert Apple
It was discovered by Thomas Squire from Berkhamsted, England in 1840, and named after Prince Albert. It was later taken over by local nurseryman John Lane, why it was called the Lane's Prince Albert. This may be a child of Dumelow's Seedling.
The tree is healthy, it's growing medium strong and are early and richly fruitful.
The fruit is medium sized, round with a greenish-yellow ground color and red body colors on the sunny side with clear stripes. The flesh is very juicy, firm and tart.
Lane's Prince Albert is a good cooking apple that can be stored for very long. |
